Broken Tooth Restored

Chipped Front Tooth

This young lady came to us as a student from a local college with her front tooth chipped. She was going to be graduating in a few days. She was seen as an emergency and was very afraid of going to the dentist. In one appointment, a composite bonded filling was placed to repair the problem. Almost no drilling was was needed and no anesthetic was used. The entire appointment took about thirty minutes, and she left with a great big smile on her face.

Closing the Gap

Don has been coming to our office for many years before he decided that he wanted to close the big gap between his two front teeth. He had been thinking about this for many years. When one of his teeth broke and needed to be extracted, he had the opportunity to close the large gap with a permanent all-porcelain bridge. Since the permanent treatment was completed, Don smiles all the time. He loves his new smile! This treatment was completed in just three short visits. On the first visit, we took out the bad tooth and made him a temporary bridge that looked just like his natural teeth. After the area with the tooth extraction had healed, an impression was taken of the teeth so that the permanent porcelain bridge could be fabricated. The final bridge was inserted after about eight weeks from the time that we started the treatment.

Replace Silver Fillings

Posterior composites are tooth-colored fillings, for use in back teeth, when a high degree of esthetics is desired. They can provide years of excellent service. In this example, a defective silver filling was replaced with a posterior composite restoration.

Porcelain Crowns and Bridge

This gentleman came into our office with old, discolored upper front crowns and bridges. They looked unnatural with bulky contours and gold showing through the crowns. A combination of an all-porcelain bridge was placed on the front four teeth and two single crowns were placed on the eye teeth to create this beautiful smile. This was done in only two visits.

Cosmetic Bonding

This man came to our office with the statement that he was going on a business trip and needed something done immediately to get rid of the unsightly spaces between his teeth. We suggested direct bonding which can be accomplished in one visit with very little tooth structure removed. In just one, two hour visit, this patient left our office with no gaps, unsightly shaped teeth, and no numbness. His upper six anterior teeth were bonded. He left our office with a handsome smile in just a few hours.
